Carrie Andersen received her PhD in American Studies from UT-Austin in 2017. She is currently working as a Senior Content Strategy Manager at Wayfair, where she leads the user experience team dedicated to Wayfair’s loyalty and financing programs. She is also an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she teaches a course in user experience.

Thi Nguyen, PhD is a neuroscientist, virtual learning consultant, and career coach. She aims to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. She teaches about strategic career planning, storytelling, and presenting your professional self authentically. She has worked with professionals across corporate and non-profit spaces in the Bay Area, Boston, and now St. Louis. She has worked as associate dean for a graduate school, program director at a career center, visiting scientist with an academic research group, and grant writer. She also is creator and editor of a job exploration website, volunteer at refugee and international centers, and mom. She has a doctoral degree in neuroscience from UT Southwestern Medical Center. She earned a BA/BA in psychology and biology at UT Austin.

  • Thi Nguyen, PhD

Rebecca Thompson received her PhD in Spanish and Portuguese from UT Austin. She is currently working as a Training Manager at Emarsys, the omnichannel customer engagement platform of choice for more than 1,500 companies worldwide, where she takes care of all training activities for customers and employees in the Americas by assessing, creating and rolling out all kinds of training and learning measures.

  • Rebecca Thompson, PhD

Fran’Cee Brown-McClure received her PhD in Educational Administration from UT-Austin in 2015. She is currently working as the Vice-President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Union College in Schenectady, New York, where she provides strategic vision for the Division of Student Affairs. She directly and indirectly supervises areas critical to the support and development of students and the academic mission.

  • Fran’Cee Brown-McClure, PhD

Kathryn Metz received her Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from UT-Austin in 2010. She is currently working as Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology at Oberlin College & Conservatory, where she teaches ethnomusicology and pop music courses and stewards the bachelor of arts music degree program for non-conservatory students.
